For actively participating in and completing a week-long NEH Landmarks workshop, teachers will receive a $1200 stipend at the end of the workshop session. Stipends are intended to help offset the cost of travel and living expenses, but may not cover the entire cost of the trip. Please be advised that stipends are considered taxable income.
You will also earn a certificate documenting attendance and specifying contact hours. In most school districts, you can use the certificate along with the course syllabus to earn professional development credit.
We’ve had our course of study approved for academic units through UC Davis Extension. Should you wish to earn four quarter units (40 hours), you can pay a fee directly to UCD Extension. More information to follow.
