For actively participating in and completing a week-long NEH Landmarks workshop, teachers will receive a stipend at the end of the workshop session, less the cost of some meals. $600 for commuting participants who incur no housing costs or $1200 for residential participants who incur hosing costs.  Stipends are indented to help offset the cost of travel and living expenses. Please be advised that stipends are considered taxable income.

You will also earn a certificate documenting attendance and specifying contact hours. In most school districts, you can use the certificate along with the course syllabus to earn professional development credit.

We’ve had our course of study approved for academic units through UC Davis Extension. Should you wish to earn four quarter units (40 hours), you can pay a fee directly to UCD Extension. More information to follow.
